16 October 2023: I am (temporarily) closed for deployment! See you in Summer 2024.
Thanks for visiting my site! I'm the owner of Paper Cartridges LLC, and I've been making (and researching) historically correct Civil War-era replica bullets and paper cartridges for the last 15 years. In addition to making the products sold here, I am a historical researcher and author, having written several books on 19th century arms, ammunition, logistics, and military history, including The Destroying Angel, The English Cartridge, and Like Fire and Powder. I enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserve in 2010, and later commissioned as an Ordnance Officer at Fort Benning OCS. Today I am a Logistics staff officer, and have had the privilege of commanding two awesome Army Reserve sustainment companies on two overseas deployments in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Spartan Shield.
I have a workshop at 262 Baltimore St, Gettysburg PA 17325. To avoid being overrun by tourists asking to use the restroom, I do not keep standard "open hours" but I am happy to meet my customers at the shop! Feel free to come on in if I'm there. Better yet, email me at email@example.com to make an appointment if you'll be in Gettysburg.
No, I do not make or sell live ammunition or firearms, including antiques. All of my products are inert and do not contain any gunpowder or other dangerous materials. Some of my highly authentic replica products are made with lead, and I don't recommend allowing children to handle them. It's a good idea to wash your hands after handling any lead products.
I regularly ship to Canada, the UK, Australia, and a few other countries. Shipping costs can be quite high. I have no control over shipping costs!
I can accommodate some special requests and custom orders, on a case by case basis. For example, I have made special stamps and labels for authentic reenactors, who need a specific date and location on their arsenal packs to fit the appropriate event.
